Visible signs from the past – part I

You may know the history of the city of Utrecht. The stories of the past whisper through the current streets. Our guide will teach you to ‘Read the city’ yourself.

Not much is visible of the presence of the Romans in Utrecht. But when one looks closely, there are signs to uncover this period. From the Roman-era on, Utrecht developed into the city it is today.

The tour leads you through the Utrecht history from the Roman-castellum, the churches of the Middle Ages, the developments in de golden-age, the citadel of the 17th century and the start of industry. A tour through the stages of city development of Utrecht from 0 till the 18th century.
